Welcome, Soul Sister 🤍

If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’ve lived a little.

You’ve been hurt, misunderstood, betrayed, or stretched in ways you never asked for. You love God—and you’re still healing. Still unlearning. Still figuring out what wholeness looks like now.

This is a place for truth-telling and tenderness.

A place where faith and healing meet—without judgment, without pretending, and without pressure to be “over it.”

At Seasoned Soul Sister’s Place, we talk about the real things:

the scars we carry, the lessons they taught us, and the God who never left us while we were breaking. We believe healing is not rushed, forgiveness is a journey, and strength doesn’t always look loud.

You don’t have to explain yourself here.

You don’t have to be perfect.

You don’t have to have the right words.

Come as you are. Sit for a while. Read slowly. Breathe deeply.

This is a sisterhood rooted in Christ, guided by grace, and committed to becoming whole—together.

You’re safe here. And you’re not alone.

The Older I Get, the Sassier I Get

They say wisdom comes with age. I believe that’s true—but so does sass. The older I get, the less time I have for nonsense, drama, and pretending to be anything other than the woman God designed me to be.

The Older I Get, The Sassier I Get

They say wisdom comes with age. I believe that’s true—but so does sass. The older I get, the less time I have for nonsense, drama, and pretending to be anything other than the woman God designed me to be.

When I was younger, I used to bite my tongue, shrink myself down, or go along to keep the peace. Now? Honey, that tongue has been loosed, but not for foolishness—it’s been seasoned with truth, love, and just enough sass to make people sit up and pay attention.

Confidence Wrapped in Sass

Sass isn’t about being rude—it’s about boldness. It’s about saying, “I’ve lived through too much to let fear or opinions silence me now.” My scars have stories, and my stories carry wisdom. When I speak, it comes with experience, and when I laugh, it’s often at things that used to make me cry. That’s the kind of sass age gives you.

Setting Boundaries Without Apology

One of the greatest gifts of growing older is learning the power of “No.” I no longer explain myself to people who aren’t walking in my shoes. I don’t entertain relationships that drain my spirit. And I surely don’t lose sleep over folks who don’t clap for me. My “yes” has become sweeter because my “no” is stronger.

Faith With a Spark

My faith has always been my anchor, but as I’ve gotten older, I see how God doesn’t call us to be timid—He calls us to be bold. Proverbs 31 says, “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” Well, sometimes that kindness comes wrapped in sass: the kind that teaches, corrects, and uplifts with a little sparkle.

Embracing the Season

So yes—the older I get, the sassier I get. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Sass, after all, is just another word for confidence, courage, and freedom—freedom to be unapologetically me.

Ladies, let’s strut into this season of life with our heads high, our voices strong, and our sass sanctified. After all, we’ve earned it.

Now tell me—what’s one thing you no longer put up with as you’ve gotten older? Drop your comments in the Comment Box, sis. Let’s compare notes.
